Only the lonely
Have you ever noticed after the holiday season, when unwrapped presents are put away, the decorations packed, and the tree disguarded from our homes it seems empty?
Carolyn Cultrona, Professor of psychology and Professor with the Institute for Social Behavioral Research states, “To over come loneliness, people need to be proactive and reach out to other people. There is no substitute for helping others and reaching out to other people.”
Is your home feeling empty, do you miss the sounds of laughter and chatter from the holidays? Then get out, go do something, be a blessing in someone else’s day, so that they may see your actions and take heart. Put up your shield against loneliness and deflect the feelings of saddness and melencoly the dreary winter months bring.
Your not the only one feeling this way, it is quite common to get lonely after the holidays, so pass on your companionship to someone else today Find another person who is feeling the same way. Soon, you won’t be feeling so lonely anymore.
