Everybody Needs Change

Published by mrschadt at 8:32 pm under Looking Out Edit This

There are three things that will always be constant in our lives - taxes, death, and change.  They are inevidable, we can’t cheat them, and they always find us in the end.

Tomorrow we embark upon change, change as a nation.  I heard it on the news this evening, that presidental elect Obama has it planned to give a speach on responsibility and community.  I will leave those two things - Responsibility and Community - for blogs on another day.

Today, brace yourselves for the coming of change.  Tomorrow we make history with the passing of one president to another.  Today, we celebrate the famous words of Martin Lurther King and his vision of one day having a black man for president.  I’m sure he is smiling down upon the people today, saying “I told you so.”

We have two choices when it comes to change in our life.  We can embrace it, or we can dispute it.  But, we cannot always rebuke it.  When we dispute change we set ourselves up for disappointment.  Pass on the acceptance of change to your children and neighbors, today.

Embrace the coming of tomorrow.
