Power of a Word
Ephesians 5:15-16 says, “Be-careful how you live - not as unwise, but as wise, making the most of every opportunity.”
We live in a world of uncertainty. Some of us don’t know if we will have a job tomorrow. We struggle to put food on the table. But, the one thing that stays constant in our lives are words. Words of encouragement, words of wonderment from a small child, and words that speak to us that only we can hear.
Those are the words of God.
When we face a situation and come to a cross roads of decision many times we ask for directions. We just want somebody to tell us what to do to solve the situation and make it gone. I’ve been there, we’ve all been there, but what we don’t realize in that moment is - we’re all stupid. We need to stop asking everyone else for instruction and starting getting “the word”.
When is the last time you had a love affair with God? When is the last time you opened up his word when you had a problem and listened to his wisdom over your life?
Today, I challenge you to spend fifteen minutes reading the word.
What new discover in the word have you made?
Pass it on.
