Spring Time Weather Forcast Pass It On

Published by mrschadt at 5:20 am under Looking Out, Share It Edit This

Spring has been having a terrible time making up it’s mind on getting here.  One day a peek of sunshine will descend down on the little outdoor world of my back yard and I will feel refreshed and invigorated - motivated - to get out of the house, but then the cold chill of winter will rush across the land and chill me to the bone.  It pours down rain and soaks the spirit as well as the grass.

It reminds of of a little song my daughter likes to sing along, “Rain, rain, go away, come on back another day.” Sigh, perhaps if we started singing, “Spring, spring, come this day, chilly winds and rain go away.”  Then I wouldn’t be looking out the window to my backyard and yearning to dig my hands into the dirt of my garden.  Instead, I have been digging into the dirt of my home and cleaning and decluttering in preparation of spring.

It’s funny is’nt that we clean our houses in the beginning of spring and prepare it for a new season, as we do for fall, winter, and somehow, we’re just so busy in summer we don’t keep up the ritual.  Maybe because we are all outside and the house reminds clean from our lack of inhabitants.  After-all, we’ve been cooped up all winter long in the house already.

Today, enjoy Spring.  If it’s a beautiful day, take a walk and spectate God’s wonders here on earth.  If it’s cold and wet from recent rains, then find a friend and share a cup of hot chocolate together.  Discuss what you are looking forward to seeing this spring season and what Easter means to your family.

And don’t forget, if your still holding on to that Easter Lily, or someone gave you one yesterday - it’s time to pass it on.
