Happy Mother’s Day
As it is Mother’s Day, your normal blogger, MRsCHADT is taking the day off… Instead, you get a blog from MrChadT.
So today is Mother’s Day and, in my opinion, it is a wasted day. If we celebrate Mother’s Day only on the second Sunday of May, there are 364 days that are being left out that are just as deserving as today. So although the calendar only lists today as Mother’s Day, I want to encourage you to celebrate Mother’s Day tomorrow too. And the next day. And the next…
At the very least, we should appreciate our mothers for carrying us for 9 months (or in my cases, 3 weeks late!!). They took care of us when we could not take care of ourselves. They taught us values and morals, and how to treat other people with respect. They kissed our boo-boos when we got hurt. (Mommy kisses work so much better than Tylenol!)
Eventually, our mother changes roles from provider in our infant and toddler years, to mentor in our teenage years, to friend in our adult years. No matter your age, you are still precious to your mother. You will always be her “kid.”
Be sure to pass on to her today (and everyday) how much you appreciate her.
Momma,
I love you.
I miss you.
I appreciate you.
I can’t wait to see you again.
